Article Summary

Summary
The Waru Dryer is an innovation by Orange Sky that helps eliminate the usage of an onboard diesel generator. From a user experience perspective, it looks and functions the same as a standard LG clothes dryer and will dry clothes within the same time.

How to use the Waru Dryer:

1. Ensure the dryer has power (the screen will be on and will display the word PUSH).
2. Select the desired temperature, either low, medium or high. Each press of the button adds 10 minutes to the drying cycle. (i.e. for 30 minutes, press HIGH three times).
3. Press the start button and ensure the drum starts spinning.
4. Check that the red LED light next to the start button is illuminated.
5. Wait for the full cycle to finish, unless its desired to remove the clothes earlier.
6. Remove the clothes from the dryer at the end of the cycle, note that hot air will still be pumped into the drum while removing the clothes.

Important facts about the Waru Dryer:

1. The cooling down period for the Waru Dryer is 2 minutes, not 10 minutes. Therefore, it's not advantageous to open the door during the last 10 minutes of the cycle, full drying performance is experienced during the entire drying cycle (regardless of the original cycle time).

2. The inside of the drum may be HOT at any stage before or after a drying cycle, it's recommended to avoid touching the inside of the drum until the system has been turned off.

3. There is a red LED indicator light next to the start button on the control panel. This light will be flashing if there is a fault with the air heater, refer to the Waru Dryer Troubleshooting article for assistance.

4. The Waru Dryer uses a small fuel powered heater to provide heat. The noise of this heater will be loudest during a cycle, and quietest in-between cycles (when the dryer isn't being used). If there is an excessive smell of diesel near the vehicle, this should be reported to Service Support.
