Can we wash bedding?

We sure can.

Some bedding can be quite bulky so please ensure that there is a hand width to the back of the machine otherwise the washing may overload the machine and it will get stuck mid cycle.

Also be careful about the fibre content of any doonas or sleeping bags. Down and wool should not be put through the dryer and generally prefer a gentle wash.

Be mindful that some heavy doonas and blankets can also take longer to dry!

If in doubt chat, it through with the friend so they understand the risk. Sometimes friends have access to a place to hang out their washing and are happy to air dry part of their load after shift has ended.
