Position Title: Community Impact Coordinator

Role Purpose/How You Help

The Community Impact Coordinator will work with the local Service Leader and Community Impact team at HQ to assist with ongoing review of the social impact of shifts in a local service, to develop & execute growth plans for an existing service and in some cases a region and to provide rollout support for a brand new service (if required).

Supervision & Reporting

The CIC reports to the local Service Leader (day to day) and the Community Impact team at HQ to help support & manage local operations. 

Key Responsibilities

This volunteer leadership role will work with other members of the Orange Sky team both locally & nationally to support delivering the Orange Sky mission, vision and values.

The primary tasks will be:

  • Research & locate potential new shift locations & service provider partners.
  • Build & maintain relationships with local service providers & councils.
  • Preform and/or facilitate new shift location inspections.
  • Perform and/or facilitate a Risk Assessment (SLRA) for a new shift location.
  • Coordinate with volunteers for trial shifts as needed.
  • Attend regular online or in person meeting with the Community Impact team at HQ.
  • This role is also required to be a general volunteer, please refer to position description for General Volunteer.
  • At all times embrace & promote Orange Sky’s culture of ensuring safe and supportive service environments
  • Other ad hoc tasks allocated by the Community Impact Manager and/or Service Leader.

How we help you

A comprehensive onboarding & training program will be provided to ensure the volunteer is able to successfully fulfil the role. Training will be provided across Asana, the Volaby, WhatsApp/Slack & any other programs you may be required to use.

Support is available from the team at HQ as required.

Hours

Up to 5-10 per week but can vary pending demands on service.

Skills Required: 

  • Confidence in learning new technologies or platforms (training will be provided)
  • Willing to give things a crack
