Conversation only shift
Provided the shift environment is safe, all shifts can continue running as a conversation shift only if troubleshooting is unsuccessful. This can be at the discretion of the volunteers and Team Leader on shift.
When to pack up & go home
- A conversation shift only is not safe or appropriate
- There is no power to the machines (e.g. RedARC issue)
- There is a mechanical vehicle issue stopping the van arriving to shift (e.g. broken down van/accident)
- The shift environment is unsafe, or running at reduced capacity would create an unsafe environment
Next Steps
- Ensure an Incident Report is submitted so relevant people are alerted
- Team Leader to notify the local leadership team
- Team Leaders to notify impacted teams regarding reduced operations or required shift cancellations
- If applicable, Team Leader to cancel the shift or next shift in Volaby
