Do we clean the machines following each wash?

The washing detergent we use in our vans has antibacterial qualities, so it is not necessary to clean the machines between every wash.

However, before placing the next load into the washing machine or dryers, please check the machine is free of any debris and shows no remnants of soiled clothing.

If the machine does require cleaning, please ensure gloves are worn, and the machine is disinfected using the supplied cleaning products.

If the machine has been contaminated with any bodily fluids please do not use the machine further on your shift, it will require a special cleaning process prior to being used again. Please complete an incident report to let the rest of the team know the machine is out of order and place a note on the affected machine.
