Article Summary

I'm going on holiday, can I volunteer on shift in the area I am visiting?

The short answer is, yes. If you have an upcoming holiday and are interested in attending a shift in the area you are visiting, we would love to have you volunteer on shift in another location.

What if the new shift location offers a different type of asset?

As an example, if your regular shift uses a laundry van, but the shift you'd like to attend while on holiday utilises a shower van - don't worry! We would still love for you to attend this shift, we just ask that you complete a short online training module through the volunteer Portal that will provide you with all of the information you need to feel confident on shift.

How do I organise to attend a shift in another location?

The best way to coordinate attending a shift in a different region is to contact your local leader. They may be able to reach out to the relevant leader in the area and facilitate your attendance on shift while away.

If you are unable to get in contact with your local leader, contact Service Support or send an email to: volunteer@orangesky.org.au or volunteer@orangesky.org.nz and we would be more than happy to help coordinate this.

Our team is here to help and we encourage you to reach out!
