Article summary

Summary

All Orange Sky assets are required by AS/NZS requirements to be test & tagged annually.

Booking a Technician

A task will be created within 'Vehicle Maintenance' outlining the van to be tagged and before a certain date. A HQ staff member is available to book this test and tag service. See example task below:

1. Identify a minimum ~4 hour gap in the service roster for this test and tag to take place without causing disruption to shifts.

2. Liase with a local electrician/technician to tag the appliances within the van. Send the technician the test and tag scope of works document attached to this guide, and provide them with times and dates when this test and tag can occur. Provide the technician with the lockbox code for the van if you are unable to meet them on site.

3. When a electrician/technician is confirmed, Move the task to 'Booked Waiting Confirmation' and set the due date to the date of the organised service. Comment the details of the test and tag in the task.

4. Preferably work is to be payed via invoice sent to payables@orangesky.org.au. Alternatively, call service support for credit card payment to be made over the phone.

5. The task can be now be completed on the 'Vehicle Maintenance' board. If there is a mistake in the log or you require help completing the task, move the job to 'Monitoring/Notes' on the 'Vehicle Maintenance' board.

FAQ

Q: As a corporation with mobile equipment you should be tagging 6 monthly.

A: Confirmed by Varley (Engineering Consultant) a while ago, Orange Sky is a not for profit company and so the commercial rules don't apply. Also our electrical equipment is technically 'fixed' within the van and so is not considered mobile.

Q: Can't reach the Dryer power points in the hybrid van.

A: Unfortunately there is not much that can be done about this. If you're willing, you could remove a dryer following this link here.

NOTES

- Some technicians may have some thoughts on the current design. Please note these questions in the task and pass to 'Help Required' on the 'Vehicle Maintenance' board for a response.
