Position Title: Service Coordinator

Role Purpose/How You Help 

The Service Coordinator helps us continue to change the lives of our friends on the street every day as a senior member of the volunteer team in your area.

This volunteer role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a number of local shifts with consultation, guidance & support from the team at HQ and your local leadership team. The Service Coordinator helps their assigned Team Leaders and volunteers on shift with roster support, incident management and reviewing weekly shift reports for any concerns or feedback.

Supervision & Reporting

The Service Coordinator reports to the local Service Leader & the team at HQ to help guide local operations. 

As Service Coordinator you are responsible for management of;

  • Team Leaders

Key Responsibilities

As a Service Coordinator, you will be assigned 3-4 teams of volunteers to support. Some of the key responsibilities are;

  • Conduct check ins with Team Leaders every 4-6 weeks
  • Support, mentor & oversee Team Leaders with queries as required
  • Providing updates to Team Leaders and local volunteers on any changes to services or other important information
  • Monitoring & coordination of Shift and Incident Reports & any required follow up or action
  • Visit shifts (at least 1 bi-monthly)
  • Consistently monitor & promote safe work practices
  • At all times embrace & promote Orange Sky’s culture of ensuring safe and supportive service environments

How we help you

A comprehensive onboarding & training program will be provided to ensure the volunteer is able to successfully fulfil the role. Training will be provided across Asana, Volaby, WhatsAp & any other programs you may be required to use.

Hours

Up to 5-10 flexible hours per week but can vary pending demands on service.

Skills Required: 

  • Confidence in learning new technologies or platforms (training will be provided)
  • Willing to give things a go!
