Troubleshooting Guide (TG)

SAFETY CALLOUTS

Consider the below callouts when guiding a volunteer through the instructions

Ensure no one is in the shower area before opening the rear doors to inspect the water heater's red/orange light.

Do not remove the cap from the hot water system when hot and do not touch the hot water system when in operation as it may burn.

POSSIBLE REASONS FOR CALL

  • No hot water in the shower
  • Water heater red/orange light is flashing

TROUBLESHOOTING

Step 1: Identify the issue

If no, 

Then

Has the water heater been switched on for longer than 5 minutes?

Wait for 5 mins for the heater to warm the water.

Is there water?

 TG: Clean Water System

Is the electrical system switched on?

Press the power icon on the display once to turn on the electrical system.

Is the display free from faults?

 SIG: Check the display for faults

Is the water heater red/orange light on and not flashing?

 SIG: Hot water error codes

Step 2: Communicate next steps to volunteer

Diagnostic complete, the issue cannot be resolved on shift. You will need to either

  1. Continue with cold showers only
  2. No showers - washing & drying only
