Most of our washing machines have a small light (often with a small key image next to it) that illuminates when the door has been locked.
Because of having to use the clamps on the washing machine drums, the door seals on the washing machines often become slightly deformed over time. This can result in the door needing to be held closed for a couple of seconds until it locks at the beginning of a wash cycle.
When this fault occurs and you haven't held the door closed, a DE error code will display.
If this happens to you, put gentle pressure on the door and press start again. Once the door locks the cycle should continue as normal.
