Article Summary

Summary

The following guide provides troubleshooting information for diagnosing faults in a webasto diesel burner water heating unit. The Webasto diesel burners will display error codes through a flashing light sequence.

Light Location

This small orange light can be found in the following locations:

SHOWER VAN: Rear compartment near breaker switches

HYBRID VAN: Rear compartment near breaker switches

RURAL VAN: Passenger side seat next to generator control panel

Reading the Sequence

If the orange light is solid, this means that there is no error. If the light is flashing, the sequence can be read by counting the number of LONG pulses. These long pulses are separated by 5 short pulses.

Example:

- = short pulse

_ = long pulse

----- _ _ _ ----- _ _ _ ----- = Error code 3

Burner Reset

Many burner errors can be resolved by reseting the system. This can be done by following the instructions below:

1. Turn the heater 'ON'

RV, HV: Red system switch

SV: Front or rear shower switch depending on which burner is faulty

2. Within 10 seconds, remove the green 30A fuse for the burner.

RV: Located underneath the drivers seat

RV Burner Fuse

HV, SV: Located in the rear of the van, next to the breaker switches. The cover of the breaker box may need to be removed in some cases to reveal the fuses.

SVHV Burner Fuse

3. After 10 seconds, re-install the 30A fuse for the burner.

4. Turn the heater 'OFF'

5. If there is no power to the burner, ensure that the fuse is not blown, at that the generator is turned on when attempting to start the unit.

If these solutions do not work in resolving the issue, ask a member from Orange Sky HQ to book an appointment with a technician via the incident report.
