What do I do if a friend/s have left their washing in a queue for when we arrive?

We have a policy that washing will not be placed into the queue until the friend is present on shift.

We do not accept items left in a queue before the start of shift, simply because we are unable to confirm who the owner is once the washing is complete and ready for collection. If this is happening on your shift, please discuss with your Team Leader and let the individual friends know that this can not occur.

Our friends do not need to stay at the van during the entire washing time but it is a requirement on shift that a volunteer can confirm each friend has shaken out their washing and checked their pockets to reduce the risk of sharps related incidents or damage to items left behind.
