What do we use WhatsApp for?
Do
- Use the WhatsApp for brief updates to volunteers and for asking general questions or for help with something
- Do use the WhatsApp to ask if other volunteers can cover your shift and to let your Team Leader know if you can’t make it
- Use the WhatsApp to update other volunteers about friends who visited your shift
- Do use the WhatsApp to let your Team Leader and other volunteers if some supplies need topping up or other useful information about the laundromat
Don’t
- Don’t worry about replying to every message if it is not necessary for you to do so
- Don’t report incidents here - you should submit an incident report via Volaby. Contact your Team Leader or HQ Support Staff if you need help.
- Don’t use the WhatsApp chat as a social chat - there are other ways to share stories
- Don’t use the WhatsApp for anything confidential
- Don’t only rely on WhatsApp for conveying urgent information - it a good idea to phone someone directly to ensure they get the information in time
