Thank you for your feedback
The purpose of this article is to give local services the resources they need to facilitate an information session on volunteering with Orange Sky with the goal to grow excitement about volunteering and gain new volunteers.
What will the 'come & see' session entail?
There are a couple of different ways you can choose to deliver your session.
- Presentation style: we have put together an awesome powerpoint presentation you can use which covers an overview of Orange Sky and what to expect from your volunteering experience with Orange Sky. Please note if you choose to deliver this style you will need to ensure your chosen location has AV.
- At van base/asset location: if appropriate for your service you can host a casual show & tell of the van or your asset for volunteers. We have put together a guide for you and what you should cover.
Who will attend the session?
- volunteers that have been onboarded with Orange Sky but have not yet joined an activity
- volunteers that have applied to volunteer but have not yet completed their onboarding
- people that have registered their interest in attending the 'come & see' day
What are the steps I need to take to organise a session?
- Decide on the format of the session
- Identify a date, time and location for the session
- Complete an event registration form by clicking here (we recommend a lead time of 6 weeks, to allow enough to time to promote the open day and to collect volunteer registrations)
How will it be promoted?
- Email to existing volunteers that haven't joined an activity and volunteers that haven't completed their onboarding
- Facebook posts on local community pages
- Flyers made available to you to distribute in your local community (ie. community noticeboards)
