Volunteer Agreement (NZ)

As an Orange Sky volunteer, you agree:

1. You’re a Volunteer:

• This role is all about volunteering – no legal employment ties here. You can step away anytime, and so can we. No paychecks, just genuine connection!

2. As a Volunteer, You Will:

• Follow our policies and procedures as laid out in the Volunteer Handbook and any instructions from the Orange Sky team. It’s your guide to rocking your volunteer role!

• Stay safe! While we've got precautions in place, the work may occasionally bring along challenging situations. Always look out for your health and safety, and the safety of others.

• Represent Orange Sky with pride! Live by our values, OS Person Characteristics and stick to the Code of Conduct. Encourage your fellow volunteers to do the same.

• Embrace change and growth. Be open to new ideas, accept new volunteers with a smile, and stay up-to-date with any training requirements.

• Keep us in the loop if your health changes in a way that affects your volunteer duties. We want to ensure you're always in the best position to contribute.

• Inform us if you’re ever charged or convicted of a criminal offence that’s relevant to your role.

• Be 18 years or older.

• Keep it confidential. Any private information relating to Orange Sky you come across stays with you, even after your volunteer time ends.

• Agree to share your personal details with relevant Orange Sky personnel and volunteers for scheduling and safety purposes. Teamwork makes the dream work!
