Where to Find Inverter, BMS and BCDC in Each Vehicle
In each battery-powered Orange Sky vehicle, there should be a rechargeable battery bank, two battery chargers (called the Battery Management System (BMS) and the smaller DC Battery Charge (BCDC)), and an inverter which supplies power to the 230V electrical loads.
The following guide will show you where all of these components are located in a Hybrid, Shower, Laundry and Remote van.
Laundry Van
The laundry van electronics should all mounted to an aluminum board (seen below). This board will be mounted in the laundry van on the wall behind the driver's seat.
1. Total Vehicle Management System
2. 2000W Inverter
3. BCDC
4. Battery Management System (BMS)
5. 230V Changeover Box with Safety Switches (will have a protective cover). See also second picture.
Shower Van (Laurie)
Th shower van electronics can be accessed by opening the left rear door.
1. Total Vehicle Management System
2. 2000W Inverter
3. Battery Management System (BMS)
The BCDC charger is the small black box mounted to the left wall. The 230V Changeover and Safety Switch Box will be mounted to the right wall.
Hybrid Van
In older versions of the hybrid van, the electronics can be accessed by opening the left rear door, similar to the shower van.
1. Total Vehicle Management System
2. Battery Management System
The inverter and 230V changeover box, however, can be found behind the driver's seat at the front of the vehicle.
3. BCDC
4. 2000W Inverter
5. 230V Changeover Box and Safety Switches
RV 3.0
The remote van electronics can be found by opening the rear door of the van, and then by opening the battery box.
1. Total Vehicle Management System
2. 230V Changeover Box and Safety Switches
3. 3000W Inverter
4. BCDC
5. Battery Management System (BMS)
