Control Panel Softkey Lockout

If the control panel (RedVision screen) has padlock icons displaying on each menu option, a REDARC Total Vehicle Management System connection reset may be required.

To perform the connection reset, locate the REDARC Total Vehicle Management System (fuse box) in the asset. Refer to the this article if required.

As per the above image, locate the main power plug on the Total Vehicle Management System unit. It is a red connection plug with two wires connected to the main unit. Gently disconnect the red connection plug from its socket. Wait 10 seconds before proceeding to the next step. After 10 seconds, reconnect the connection plug into the socket, ensuring it is securely connected. 

The screws on the red connection plug should be loose enough to facilitate easy removal & reconnection. In the case that they are not loose enough, please submit an incident report for the Vehicle Leader to assist in loosening the screws. 

Confirm that the control panel (RedVision screen) display no longer features the padlock icons and proceed with turning the control panel on as per normal operations.
